Pogo’s Remixes
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! So I have a bunch of music to offer y’all in this Extra-VAGANZA! Let me start off with this relatively new DJ. He’s been around for a few years now and he manages with sound bits from movies and TV shows such as Up, Dexter, Toy Story, and Alice in Wonderland. Yesterday, I checked out Pogo’s remix called “Toyz Noize”:
It’s really good and I have to say, I LIKE IT! It sounds like other artists like Eclectic Method. He’s an another artist you need to check out. He strictly focuses on sounds more than makes remixes like Pogo. For those of you who would like to get more information on this fellow, Click HERE!
Moving on, my favorite remixes so far have been “Toyz Noize” and “Upular”. Both great Disney-Pixar movies as well as badass remixes. Now, I know I never give much of a background of artists and their music, but do you ever read them. From feedback I always get, the answer is no. Why bother? Well the thing is knowledge can’t kill you; how you use it could. But that’s not the point.
Above, in the final phase on the far right is Pogo’s logo. He’s an electronic musician from Western Australia. He was first noted for his Alice remix that was recognized by Disney/Pixar. The remix “Alice” comes from snippits from the movie Alice in Wonderland (the normal kid one, not Tim Burton’s clusterfuck).
After two years, he made a remix to the movie “Hook” and was involved in some controversial issues due to copyright laws from Sony Pictures. But I guess they let him have it.
Today, Pogo is working on “Remixing The World”. Something I can have respect for. He records sounds from the Amazon, Antarctica, and more. If you like Pretty Lights, DJ Shadow, and Lemon Jelly, you’ll appreciate Lemon Jelly. And now I give you:
