MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! So I have a bunch of music to offer y’all in this Extra-VAGANZA! Let me start off with this relatively new DJ. He’s been around for a few years now and he manages with sound bits from movies and TV shows such as Up, Dexter, Toy Story, and Alice in Wonderland. Yesterday, I checked out Pogo’s remix called “Toyz Noize”:

It’s really good and I have to say, I LIKE IT! It sounds like other artists like Eclectic Method. He’s an another artist you need to check out. He strictly focuses on sounds more than makes remixes like Pogo. For those of you who would like to get more information on this fellow, Click HERE!

Moving on, my favorite remixes so far have been “Toyz Noize” and “Upular”. Both great Disney-Pixar movies as well as badass remixes. Now, I know I never give much of a background of artists and their music, but do you ever read them. From feedback I always get, the answer is no. Why bother? Well the thing is knowledge can’t kill you; how you use it could. But that’s not the point.

Above, in the final phase on the far right is Pogo’s logo. He’s an electronic musician from Western Australia. He was first noted for his Alice remix that was recognized by Disney/Pixar. The remix “Alice” comes from snippits from the movie Alice in Wonderland (the normal kid one, not Tim Burton’s clusterfuck).

After two years, he made a remix to the movie “Hook” and was involved in some controversial issues due to copyright laws from Sony Pictures. But I guess they let him have it.

Today, Pogo is working on “Remixing The World”. Something I can have respect for. He records sounds from the Amazon, Antarctica, and more. If you like Pretty Lights, DJ Shadow, and Lemon Jelly, you’ll appreciate Lemon Jelly. And now I give you:

It has been did! Sorry for the delay, but hopefully a week hasn’t been too long. I’d hope you weren’t that impatient about it, I mean jeez I tried enjoying myself a Thanksgiving Break; and I wasn’t disappointed in myself whatsoever. Now there’s only one minor problem, and I honestly don’t care anymore because I’ve worked very hard doing this. So the music is not in the order I was hoping it would be, but it’s still all there. Enjoy it either way! It’s still all the songs, and it’s no real order.

Well Anthony found this on reddit, but I’ll let ‘em have it anyway. Girl Talk just realized a new album! ZOMG I’m going crazy right now because I should probably be studying for exams instead but I’m not. It’s all crazy and he even has a lineup for a tour! The album is “All Day” and I’ll update this more later:

Cee-Lo Green – The Lady Killer

Oh shit! CLICK THE PICTURE! Cee-Lo Green’s album “The Lady Killer” got leaked. So remember that song “Fuck You” way back in mid-August? Yeah, well that single is in this album! And trust me, there’s a bunch of other songs in here too. I gotta’ say, Gnarls Barkley was dope, but Cee-Lo Green being solo can be a good change. He knows what he’s doing people, don’t worry. In fact, why don’t you just listen to his album by clicking on the picture!

To better help you have an idea of how this CD sounds, picture a ’60′s smooth beat with a hint of modernistic lyrics. If you’re a fan of Bobby Womack, Marvin Gaye, Al Greene, Sam Cooke, and so on and so forth, then you will enjoy this. Other than that song “Fuck You”, there are a lot of good songs on this CD that you need to listen to you. “I Want You” sounds like the beginning of a Coffy Productions movie (whoever hasn’t seen that kind of movie, then think Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown”. And if that doesn’t help, then stop listening to me).

He’s got a great combination of bittersweet originality: The music is all joyful and happy, while the contrast of his lyrics is rather close to the blues and soul like. You people need to hear new sound from all over the world, and it’s fine to even start with an artist in the United States like Cee-Lo Green. Considering he’s actually good at making music, I recommend you download his album, and I hope I get to see him live.

Hey fun fact: Cee-Lo Green’s daughter was on “My Super Sweet Sixteen”! Oh what’s that? You don’t care? Oh, okay…

Someone must’ve dropped this on the streets because this leak is insanely impossible to attain in my mind right now. It’s Kid Cudi’s new album! It’s release date is November 9, but if you want a taste of it, you should check out the album here and then buy it in support for our fellow Ohioan. For anyone who’s a big fan of Scott Mescudi, this new album of his sounds experimental to indie rock and other mixture of genres not usually done by him, so I’m not going to lie, I don’t really like this sophomore album of his.

Mixtape: Benzi & Diplo Present: Mansion on the Moon Paradise Falls

WTF is this goodie bagness of music you say? Allow me to explain who the heck these guys all are. As you can tell Benzi (?) and Diplo (!) collaborated with these foos “Mansions on the Moon”. But wait, who are these guys? Well if I have to explain it all, I guess I will. Mansions on the Moon is an NERD’s new Echo Park (it’s a ‘hood in L.A.) based trio. Their sound is a mixture of indie pop and some trip hop. It’s a good’n to listen to since this is pretty much their first mixtape. I gotta say, there’s some promising sound to it. They also worked with deadmau5, Junior Boys, and so many more.

This sound is new to me as well, so it’s all just part of this experience homes. Just enjoy new sound once in a while, because let’s be honest, you have to be really lame to only like “Whip My Hair”, “Teach Me How to Dougie”, and “Like a G6″. Hate to break it to y’all, but there’s a lot of other great songs worth hearing that don’t have terribly shitty lyrics (As my roommate would say, G6′s aren’t even that great.)

A new song by Daft Punk has just been DROPPED. Well, I don’t know if it really has but ZOMG it’s from the “Tron Legacy Soundtrack”, so you know it’s going to be good. Plus, it’s Daft Punk so don’t be stupid. The song is called “Derezzed” and it’s perfect for a rave-fest. I can see it working in Tron as some intro to a battle, but then again I’ve never seen that movie so what am I talking about?

HATERS IN THE BUILDING! CLICK THE PICTURE! What up what up. It’s been almost too long since I’ve posted up some good shit and before I explain anymore, major props to Sid Sharma for the heads up on this track. Anyway, Chicago-based rapper, Lupe Fiasco, is back with a new single off his album “Lasers”. It’s called “The Show Goes On” and it’s a sample over Modest Mouse’s “Float On”. I’m always a fan of popular samples if they are used correctly and of course Lupe Fiasco knows how to do it. Check it out and I’ll be sure to bring more good songs to the table!
